Jury Verdict: Approximately: $550,000 Protecting an Accident Victin's Rights—When Other Lawyers Hadn't

After she was rear­ended by a commercial truck, Peggy Rowe suffered debilitating injuries for which her doctor recommended surgery. However, her insurance company deemed the operation unnecessary and consequently denied coverage. Because Ms. Rowe could not afford the procedure on her own, she was unable to pursue treatment. Unfortunately, at the time, her two previous lawyers—eager to avoid a full­scale jury trial—made an agreement with the court and the insurance company to cap the value of the case at $50,000, far less than Babcock Partners believed it was worth. She then fired those two lawyers and retained Babcock Partners.
