Stephen Babcock has had one clear, non-negotiable goal since starting Babcock Partners: to create a new and different breed of law firm—one that rejects the inefficient, impersonal business model of many law firms and alternatively delivers superior legal and trial expertise delivered in a resourceful, cost-effective, proactive—and hands-on—fashion.

Going to trial (when necessary)

The unfortunate reality is that all too often, lawyers and clients do not like going to court, and would much rather settle cases quickly—whether or not that is ultimately best for their client. Babcock Partners’ attorneys are always tanned, rested and ready to take matters into the courtroom. We truly love trying cases. What’s more, our adversaries realize this, and know we mean business.

Having said that, we are by no means trigger-happy and promise to provide you with all the information you need to determine whether or not your matter will fare best at trial or by alternative resolution.

Our record says it all. In the last year or so, we have been involved in $8 figures worth of jury verdicts in the state of Louisiana. During the same time frame, the firm settled millions worth of cases—in part because opposing counsel knew we were prepared to put our clients’ cases before the jury.

The fact that Babcock Partners represents both plaintiffs and defendants also greatly helps our clients. We believe that such up-close familiarity with each side gives us exceptional insight into what motivates our opponents at every turn.  Some law firms boast that they only represent plaintiffs, or only represent defendants. We simply do not understand that mentality.
